SITE FAQs

Profile updates

MY PROFILE: Members and contacts can access their profile by logging in to Host2Host.org. Your profile contains the answers you gave when you enrolled, such as name, email address, hosting status etc. Many of these can be edited or filled in by editing your profile. Once logged in, look at the top of the page. Look for the line that has your name, “change password” and “log out” on the top right of the home page. Click on your name to see your profile page. You will see “My Profile” and a button “Edit profile”.

EDIT YOUR PROFILE: To update your profile, click the Edit profile button and make any changes. To save the changes, be sure to click the Save button.

PRIVACY SETTINGS: The next thing to edit is your Privacy settings. This is not very intuitive. To edit Privacy, first click on Privacy, then click Edit Profile again. It allows you to change the VISIBLITY of email, phone, address and some other fields depending on your membership type to make them completely private, visible to members, or visible to the public. A caution: making email too private as you adjust these settings affects your communications with other members. It is your choice and you can always adjust it again later. Be sure to click SAVE when you are finished.

Follow the instructions for adding a picture and try to choose one that is fairly square and close up.

You are welcome to email or call. On the host2host.org website, go to About H2H/Contact and email, or call the number there. Do not text as it is not a mobile number.

BUSINESS MEMBERS: note that your telephone and some other contact information defaults to being either not visible, or visible to members only. If you want to be publicly visible on the site, please edit your PRIVACY settings accordingly.

Awe-inspiring answer... or at least somewhat clarifying
