Host2Host offers more than 'a sense' of community. We offer face-to-face meetings and classes, networking events and an opportunity to know each other in real time. We've developed an online community where we share thoughts, resources and opinions, but we are unique in that we have an opportunity to connect face-to-face with each other within our own physical neighborhoods, towns and cities. We want to know you. We want you to know the restaurant owners and local business owners to whom you send your guests. When we work together, we build more than a sense of community, we build family.
The Community Committee is responsible for creating general awareness of initiatives that Host2Host brings to the short-term rental hosting community. By creating marketing campaigns, promoting events, developing advertising opportunities, and pushing out written and visual content on social media, this committee is the voice of Host2Host. By keeping in touch with fellow members, this committee identifies ongoing needs and recommends services developed to support and fill these needs.
Experience in executing marketing, development, or communication strategies in other non-profit or for-profit organizations.
Experience developing effective written and visual communication materials.
Familiarity with newsletter creation, social media content, and website development - best practices and editing processes.
Interest in soliciting member feedback to develop policies and programs that support membership objectives.
Past roles demonstrating comfort and facility collaborating with other inter-organizational committees and groups.
Expect to volunteer 1 - 3 hours per month depending upon organizational needs that vary seasonally and your capacity and interest in taking on additional projects.
Meetings are held once-a-month on the 1st Tuesday at 9:30am via Zoom.
